Design-Bid-Build:
Already have plans? In a design-bid-build project model, you contract with different businesses for each part of your remodel. If you have already contracted with an architect, Classic Homeworks can also bid your project for the build, or general contracting of the remodel.
We understand better than anyone that a driving factor for your remodel is cost. While we do address some typical project ranges on our Services page, cost does vary greatly from project to project. We really can’t throw out an exact number over the phone but we are happy to learn more about the details of your remodel, set up a consultation to see your space and get you a realistic price range. We specialize in older home remodels and so we often get asked what is and isn’t possible when it comes to remodeling a home in a historic neighborhood. The good news is that only homes in landmark districts are subject to strict design guidelines by the city and we happen to be experts at meeting those restrictions! Most older homes, however, are not in a landmark district and therefore have no restrictions when it comes to their remodel.
As experts in remodeling Denver’s older homes, we often get asked how homeowners can respect the architecture of their neighborhood while still modernizing their space to meet the multifunctional needs of their family. Our designers and craftsmen are experts at achieving your overall desired look without sacrificing the charming parts of your home you love the most. We work with you to find the perfect materials, finishes, tones and layout for the parts of your home you want to preserve/update so your finished space is everything you imagined.
Homeowners are often confronted with this concern when digging down or building up. It’s our job as the expert onsite to ensure that everything we design is structurally sound. That is one of the benefits of working with a design/build firm; our designers and contractors are all under one roof and work together to make sure the structural foundation of your home is safe and stable.
It depends! For smaller scale projects such as kitchens, bathrooms, mudrooms, etc., it is certainly possible to live in your home throughout your remodel. Though we won’t paint a fairytale picture for you-- being without a kitchen for a few months is indeed challenging. However, we do everything we can to create a system that works best for you and your family and will make sure to find work-around solutions for the areas of your home and appliances you still need to access.
For larger scale remodels such as pop tops, whole house remodels and hefty additions, you are not able to live in your home throughout the remodel, but we work hard to create a construction schedule that fits your preferred timeline and gets you back in your home as soon as possible.
Our craftsmen work as early as 7am and as late as 5pm. We will work with you to accommodate a schedule that is best for you and your family within that time frame.
All work is scheduled during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 7am-5pm.
We will collaborate with you to find the right place to store tools and building materials in or outside of your home when necessary. All materials that are not needed immediately are stored at our showroom in Congress Park.
Dust control is very important to our homeowners and to us. We take every measure possible to control the dust in your home such as building temporary walls, placing plastic barriers around your project, running air scrubbers in high dust areas, covering your vents and applying air filters over the vents on your furnace. It is important to note that there will be dust. However, our team works tirelessly to ensure that it is controlled onsite as well as cleaned up daily.
A full clean up of your jobsite is done daily on all of our projects. We maintain the highest standards for our jobsites and guarantee the cleanliness of all areas we work in within your home.
